About the Artist
Commencing business in Maldon Central Victoria as Tony Kean Jewellery in 1979. Tony's distinctive theme is Australian landscapes and animal in jewellery and sculpture. His sculptural works were often supplied to the Federal and State governments, councils and corporations as giftware and awards. Establishing a retail presence in Bath Lane Bendigo in 1995, Tony is the maker of the current Greater Bendigo Mayoral chain. Since 2008 Tony Kean Jewellery was operated by Kate Blackwood (GSGA member 136), Tony continued to provide services to the Bath Lane gallery/workshop up until it closed in 2018. A founding member of the Gold and Silversmith Guild Australia, Tony continued to work from his home studio until his passing in June 2024.
